Class Announcements ![]() 2nd Graders Learn About Ancient Egypt2nd Graders have begun learning about the culture of Ancient Egypt in the art room. They began by learning about where Egypt is located, the clothes, many gods they worshiped, the different classes of citizens and how they made mummies. After reading The Secrets of Mummies, the students worked in pairs to make each other into a mummy. Oh what fun we had!
![]() Kindergarten Flat Stanley ProjectThe kindergarten class will be starting an exciting new project soon. We will be learning about the adventures of Flat Stanley. Each student will make their own Flat Stanley and map all the places he or she travels around the state, country or world. Look for information coming home in your kindergartener's Friday folder.
![]() Turn Your Child's Artwork Into a Gift or MemoryHenderson Elementary and Original Works have partnered again to offer you the opportunity to have your child's artwork put on a product for a keepsake or a great gift. Art work can be printed on t-shirts, mugs, note cards, aprons, gardent flags and more. These products make wonderful gifts for others for birthdays and holidays, or a great keepsake to have. Look for more information coming home in Friday folders. Order forms, artwork and product descriptions will be sent home on the 16th of October. All orders will be due back by October 23rd. Products will be delivered to the school before the winter break for holiday gift giving.
5th grade sketch book assignments reminderRemember - sketch book assignments are due the following art class after they are assigned. If you miss the art class it is your responsibility to get the assignment and complete it. You may ask a friend, ask Ms. Sipe, look on this website or on the chalk board in the art room. Be sure to keep up on them so you don't get too far behind and have a lot to make up. Each assignment is worth 5 points towards your grade.
